Text Size
If the text size is too large or small for comfortable reading, it can be adjusted from within most web browsers.
Internet Explorer 5+ (PC)
- Open the "View" menu with the mouse or by pressing ALT + "V".
- Select the "Text Size" option with the mouse or by pressing "X".
- Choose your preferred text size with the mouse or by using the up and down arrow keys and pressing "Enter" or by clicking on it.
Netscape 7 (PC)
- Click on the "View" menu with the mouse or press ALT + "V".
- Click on the "Text Zoom" option with the mouse or press "Z".
- Click on the text size you want with the mouse or use the up and down keys and then "Enter" to select the text size you want.
Firefox, Mozilla (PC / Apple Mac)
- Press CTRL and "+" to increase the text size, CTRL and "-" to decrease the text size. See My Web, My Way for more information.
Safari (Mac)
- Increase or decrease the text size with "Apple" and "+" and "Apple" and "-". See My Web, My Way for more information.
Opera (PC / Apple Mac)
- You can increase or decrease the size of both text and graphics using the numberpad "+" and "-" keys. See My Web, My Way for more information.
Jump-to links
At the top of each page are hidden Jump To links which will become visible For users of screen readers or older mobile devices. These links, when selected jump the browser view area down to the main content, skipping navigation elements so you dont have to scroll all the way down the page.
Access keys
Access keys are special key combinations which you can use to navigate to different parts of a web site with only a keyboard. You can identify an access key for a specific button by looking for the underlined character. For example "Home" link on the navigation on the left has the text written as Home. The H is underlined to let you know the H is the access key for this link.
How to use access keys
PC- Internet Explorer 5+ Hold down the ALT key, press the character of the access key, release both keys then press ENTER
- Netscape 7 Hold down the ALT key and press the character of the access key
- Firefox, Mozilla Hold down the ALT key and press the character of the access key
- Firefox, Mozilla Hold down the CTRL key and press the character of the access key
- Safari Hold down the CTRL key and press the character of the access key
- Opera Hold down the Shift key and press Escape, release both keys, then press the character of the access key
